 B.El. Ed Admission Procedure

Admission to B.El.Ed Programme  is made through a Common Entrance Test (CEE-B.El.Ed) conducted by the Department of Education, University of Delhi. The B.El.Ed prospectus is available at Department of Education, CIE, 33 Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi. 

The last date of submitting the filled up application form of CIE is 6th June, 2012  till 4.00 p.m.

The Entrance Exam is scheduled on 24th June, 2012.

(b) by Post from CIE (Bank draft of Rs.525/- for General & Rs. 375/- for SC/ST/ Physically  handicapped) from a Nationalised Bank, payable at Delhi, in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria for B.El.Ed.


 (Examination passed and percentage of marks required)

 (A)    Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme must have passed the Class XII examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other Board recognised as equivalent to the CBSE with at least 55% marks in  the aggregate and 50% marks in each of the following four subjects* :

(i)     one from List  A and three from List B                         

(ii)    one from List  A, two from List B and one from List C

There will be  an Internal Sectional  qualifying mark for Section A (i)
and A (ii) :   40% (14 marks) for general category candidates and
35% (12 marks) for reserved category (those categories that are allowed a relaxation  in marks in minimum eligibility  requirements,  as per the University Norms).

The Written Entrance Test will be of  3 hours duration.
