Since its inception in 1998, at the initiative of Padma Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Sun Foundation has been engaged in a number of social welfare activities. It has reached out to those who were incapacitated and has provided support to less-privileged section of society. A few hands joined up and it soon became a community mobilisation campaign. It strived to meet an end that was meant to be an opportunity for lesser privileged to grow and join the mainstream. The Foundation grew ever since, not only in database but also in compassion.
The Sun Foundation is organized exclusively for education, scientific, and charitable purposes. Specifically, the Foundation shall research, design, produce, and disseminate educational materials that advance and develop integrative and interdisciplinary studies between artists and scientists and the understanding thereof, to enable humankind to live in harmony with nature, by securing a quality environment for all life, thereby enriching the human condition..
Sun Foundation’s mission is to empower the under privileged section of our society and to bring about a change in our perception towards ‘giving back’ to our society. With holistic approach, the foundation has created a substantial and lasting change in the lives of women by enabling girls and women through skill development at vocational training centre to create a better future for themselves.
All students must obtain 75% attendance in the lectures &practicals. Absence from the
Centre without permission is improper. In case of absence due to illness for more
than a week, a medical certifciate must be submitted immediately on joining.
The students will not be allowed to sit in the examination if the required attendance
is not there.
Sun Foundation Courses are affiliated with Apparel Made-Ups & HomeFurnishing Sector Skill Council. (It Comes Under National Skill Development Corporation [NSDC]).
